Community Closing Network, LLC (CCN), a full service title and settlement services provider, today announced completion of its first title agency acquisition, acquiring Continental Title Group, a regional agency headquartered in Baltimore, MD. The agency has approximately 55 employees and 7 offices providing title and settlement services throughout Maryland and Delaware. Continental Title Group also provides settlement services in the Eastern Shore of Maryland and throughout Delaware doing business as Real Estate Title and Escrow. The company will continue to trade under both names.

“We are extremely excited to launch our acquisition platform via such a strong and successful organization as Continental Title Group”, CCN CEO and President Michael C. Ridgway said in a press release. “Their branch network in Maryland and Delaware provides a solid foundation to grow our footprint throughout the Mid-Atlantic region. We are excited to be adding into the CCN family of companies one of the most successful and fastest growing title agencies in the region. Together, we are looking to grow our footprint and to bring innovation into this regional market.”

The acquired agency was founded in 2007 by principals William Yerman and Peter Burstein. Since its formation and based on its focus on customer service, the agency has grown to become one of Maryland’s leading title agencies.

Yerman, who will remain as CEO and focus on growth of the agency, stated “We have been successful over the years by focusing on customer service. We are looking forward to becoming part of a larger organization which can help us leverage the compliance and technology investments required in the title industry not only today but looking to the future. This implementation and focus on technology will only improve customer service and help us grow more effectively. We are looking forward to continuing at higher levels what we started years ago when we created our company.”

Yerman’s partner, Burstein, will serve as President and Chief Operating Officer of the agency.
Ridgway adds, “The strength of their agency lies with their people and their dedication to their customers. By integrating improved technologies and workflow, together we will position ourselves to be an industry leader in customer service and position ourselves as an innovative platform for other smaller agents who want to join us so they focus on sales and customer service while we handle the backend of the business for them.”
